Honestly, it would be cheaper and easier to sell your Ion and buy one with all the upgrades already. You will pay less than the upgrades would cost you alone, if bought separately.

A good project, I'd say, would be an UL frame, and an Element Aero, if they are made.

trinity bob kit or shocktech bob kit
you could find a element v1 or v2 frame.
if you want the membrane pad then get either a ape board or a virtue board.
and for a barrel get a Dye UL barrel.

Yes, all regs should work, except the Hyper 3 with the smaller threading for PM8's and DM8's.

We've gone over this a million times. There is no such thing as the Hyper 4. (Don't believe me call dye and see if there is... they'll know what you're talking about, but there is no such thing) Stores explicitly say what threading is on the Hyper 3 your buying and actually I have yet to see a place selling the smaller threaded hyper 3's since the only markers that come with that threading already have a type of hyper 3 on them.

I believe the only way to get a DYE threaded Hyper 3 is to buy a new Dye/Proto marker.

Really? Huh, I've never seen them. I've seen the Dye threaded CP regs, but I have yet to see a Dye threaded Hyper 3 anywhere.

They used to be sold on Dye's site and AV, possibly a few more. This was back when everyone here told me I was wrong, that it was the 'Hyper 4', even though I had talked to Dye and no one here had....I didn't post here for another 6 months or so after that.
