I dont even play it. But my brother was all cif for shooting, and swim. His team was national champions for 3 years. 4 players went to US national team.

.
i was gonna say that. we played in gym two years ago. it is insane hard. and my school's team finished 3rd this year in the Beast of the East tourney. 2nd last year
EDIT: and your not allowed to touch the bottom the pool, regardless of the shallow end or deep end

it really depends what position you play in lacrosse as well. to be a top midfielder, a top fitness level is required, but for defense...not so much.
anyway, im a 2nd team all state midfielder, i consider myself in great shape, but i stepped into a boxing ring a couple of weeks ago... holy **** was i tired. that takes an incredible amount of stamina.

I'm very surprised crew isn't on this list...you'd be hard pressed to find a muscle that doesn't hurt after intense rowing.

Golf. Hardcore.
Although, golf does require some physical attribute. Walking roughly 4 miles with a 30 pound golf bag is not the easiest thing on the planet. But then again, that is nothing compared to my old hockey days.

Wrestling no doubt. At competitive levels, the athleticism of wrestlers is off the charts.

tennis=agility,good arm
wrestling=top physical condition period.

I'm trying to think of it like this: which sport would do the best in all the other sports?
I think football for these reasons:
basketball - not the best at shooting, but fast and agile and jump high.
football - duh.
lacrosse - could deliver some crazy hits, endurance would be fine, speed would kill.
soccer - bad kicking ability, at least for accuracy, but sopme would be OK on endurance, some would not even be close.
tennis - a very skill-oriented sport, need a ton of technique, but in better shape than tennis players. Bad overall.
wrestling - no technique, but OK endurance, probably better physical shape since footballers are used to eating as much as they want.
boxing - endurance would kill footballers here.
hockey - kinda up for grabs.
cross-country - every football player would die.
paintball - footballers would kick ***.
