Will a hollowpoint bolt work in a stage 5.1 body.

It won't work without some modding I'm pretty sure, where'd you get a 5.1 from?

Thats why i am asking i wont buy it if my hollowpoint wont work in it
edit well i just looked on the site and when your buying one it says 1st gen ion and 5.1 soo idk then it has ion xe, vibe, sp1

Spug didn't OA get his HP to work in a 5.1, I think somebody did, can't remember who.

I thought OA was doing his in a 5.0
EDIT: OA is doing it in a GCPB body, and needs a 5.1 back cap. It should work in the 5.1.

OA = GCPB
Bball = 5.1 and Stage 5
It will work. I am using the blue 'stalk' piece. 5.1/Ion. The XE version MAY be different, so stick to the Ion/5.1 piece.
Basically, it works just like it would in a stock Ion body, only issues:
Bolt anno gets worn easily; performance not affected
The back screws sticks out of the back cap a small amount; doesn't affect performance
If you want, I can get pics up of the install.

The XE piece is VERY different. It's a complete replacement of the back cap and all.

Why was the stalk changed from black to blue? Noticed Colin's instructions on Deadlywinds.com and it showed a black stalk; mine is blue.

Shhh... Just embrace it.

The black stalk was plastic, and it came loose from the screw if you didn't use loctite and it would prevent balls from feeding. The blue aluminum stalk is just all around better. They fixed many issues, which weren't even big issues. They just improved the best bolt even more that is all. (best bolt sold to the public in case Ydna is watching  )

That's what OpeningAct is working on, making the HP work in a GCPB body. Hopefully he gets it up and running soon. |
