Actually I thought the reffing was alright at best. I've reffed before, it sucks. But some of those refs were in pissy moods from the first game to the end of the day. I think I heard the refs swear more than the players.

probably because they were working from like 530am- 1030pm every day of the event.......twice as long as usual and if you've reffed you can imagine what that was like..........I found the reffing very consistant across the board, and the turf was quite nice to play.....thanks again to PSP

I'm not certain, but I'm guessing that they had some type of shift system worked out. I doubt the same refs worked from the morning to the night. I've reffed from 8 am or 9 am until 5 pm and not once did I think about swearing at players. Of course that was a local tournament and different from a PSP event, but still. A ref telling a player to shut the **** up or **** off, which are a few examples of what I personally saw, is not ok. Refs have to be held to a higher standard of etiquette than the players as they are in all other sports. Reffing is hard. And I know most of the refs were doing there best, but it seemed liked the refs just wanted to pull penalties. A player would be hit and a ref wouldn't take them out but they'd wait for them to make a move then pull a 2 for 1 for playing on. But whatever. It was fun just the same.

I have reffed, but the reffs on the bawls feild were bad, and nothing short of bad, the reffs I watched on the Spart parts and dye field looked pretty good.
On the bawls field a player got hit on the hopper wiped the hit and the ref seen it but said it wasn't his call and his job was to watch the line not inside this guy seen many things but just kept saying wasn't his call,
I think PSP kept things pretty smooth but over all the Venue was a pit, bad place to have a big event, the venue was way too small, it shows when most of the vendors do not come and you count on that. So vendor turn out was poor. reffs were sub-parr After great events like MAO CHitown this one venue was poor, PSP you have a done a lot better and we expect the best from you, most of you are great people. Looking forward to Orlando!
