I assume that you are just rolling the balls through the barrel not shooting?
For one thing, it means that the barrel is probably a little tight for the size of ball you are using.
Assuming that the barrel is a perfect cylinder, and the same diameter from end to end, it most likely also means that your paint isn't perfectly spherical (and it never is), and in this case has turned slightly while going down the barrel, to a point where the ball is a bit wider, and that is why it has caught in the barrel.
Switch to a slightly smaller ball, or get yourself a wider bore barrel (if you always use the same size paint), and that should resolve that problem. The diameter of a ball can change with temperature, humidity etc. so it isn't a bad idea to have a wider barrel in your bag anyway.
