The answer is YES!

Steps:

1. Log off internet
2. Connect tank to gun, ANY way you want!!!!!!
3. Go play
4.
5. Profit

Any way you do it, as long as the gun is seeing full pressure (~800psi) you are fine.

YES YOU CAN. gah, some people just don't think. There is a piece that people use for remote lines that screws into a valve just like a standard tank. It had a place for macro fittings and you can go from there and attach whatever on/of you can fit onto the phantom. I don't use one for the balance factor, but it's all preference. Best of luck! Indeed, which is why I'll try to simplify it here:

You have essentially three solutions to your problem.

1. Put an ASA or on/off on the grip, run the hose to the Vertical ASA using a 1/8 NPT to ASA reducer fitting.

2. Remove the current airline from the Vertical ASA to the valve, and place a bottomline setup (similar to #1) with a hose going to the valve body instead of the Vert ASA.

3. Get a back-bottle adaptor for the Phantom. This will no longer allow for the Vertical Stock class configuration, but will allow you to use either 12g's or a vessel of your choice straight out the back of the gun. This is also the best way to acheive 12g efficiency.

Oh, and try not to use an inline regulator. Since this has become complicated enough already I will just tell you that 99% of the regs out there won't actually help you in this case at all. You are highly unlikely to notice any difference with a regged Phantom against a non-regged one.
