Our users have a lot to offer each other. Many of you perform all types of equipment repair, offer 3rd party services or do equipment modifications that don't bring in enough money to list in New or Unused Equipment / Services. This new forum just costs $1 a day to list your community service, but the service itself must have a fee of $50 or less. There is a fee to list services because we want to discourage anyone from listing a service here on a whim that they don't have the time to do or are not qualified to do. This forum is designed for people who perform inexpensive paintball related services to help out other paintball players. Stores are also encouraged to post inexpensive services they perform. As always, new items or more expensive services can only be listed in New or Unused Equipment / Services.

We considered doing a free section, but we were really afraid about the quality of work that would be offered. We don't want people who aren't trained or qualified to offer a service they shouldn't even be performing on their own gear, much less yours. If you can't make $1 a day doing it, then I probably don't want you working on my stuff.

My opinion:
$1 a day? Basically it is a $4 gold up?

If it is only for products < $50, make it free.

I do agree with why you would charge, but if the service is less than $50 and I will be people that code, tech, etc, won't be getting members up the wazoo, charge like $.50 or $.75 a day. I know I am sounding like I am cheap, but if you are barely charging anything, make the price to list it cheap as well. Eh, I guess I will have to get used to it.
Basically the services will be:
Photoshop
3rd Party
Coding
Tech

For gold ups:
Can you make an option so that you can choose how many days you want? I do not want to pay
Gold Ups Community Services (30 Days) - $30.00 right away, I would rather start slow and see how the traffic around here is. It might not be worth it.

I mean my service make about 2-5 dollars ( making avatars ) so i basicly loose money buying gold ups.

I think this is for more professional stuff than photoshopping stuff. There are multiple place across this website where you can get a free custom av made or a picture photoshopped for free. I think this is more along the lines of anodizing services, gun repair services, or maybe a custom mod service or something. If it was free there would be 1,000 threads the first week all from a bunch of kids who think they can fix or ano any gun because they can make a quick buck. If you have to pay $30, that means you're already dedicated to the service you're going to have to commit to, and you probably already do it locally and have experience.

Yes I understand where you are coming from. But I would like to offer a cheap 3rd party service. With $1 a day (I only charge $5 total, $1 extra for every $100 it is worth) I would loose money. I am waiting for the 2 week version.

Aslo, John, are ASM gold ups good for the 2 week thing?

And 1 question, let's say I purchase a gold up from another asm, can I have it so they can view it only to gold up the thread? Like in the news section when the gold up expires, first post is hidden.

Most likely Holding Pen threads will stop being visible to other users today. If someone else is going to Gold Up the thread, then they should do it soon while they can still see it. If someone is going to renew a thread for you, then they should do it on the last day it is visible because they won't be able to see your thread in the Holding Pen.
