paintball guns arent used as weapons, but they are just as a weapon as a knife could be, not the intention of course, but possible, and thought of weapons by people who dont really know a lot about paintball.

you need proof that some goggles will break from close up? i think its obvious that is possible, whether its old lenses, or a lemon or a really crappy brand, etc.

to be fair to the people saying he shouldnt slate paintball , it does actually say do you know the dangers of PAINTBALL not do you know the dangers of paintball guns being used incorrectly by idiots, going with the original poster hes not someone who knows alot about the sport hes just seen what the tool of the sport has done to his kid, and im sure he wasnt exaclty worried about what the proper users thought of the way he put it, quite fairly i think he had more important things on his mind.

the issue is with how do you stop utter scrotes and morons getting their hands on these things, in the uk airsoft paintball airguns etc ave strict laws because of these exact things, you now have to be a registered and attending player at an airsoft site to buy a new gun, the same isnt true of paintball but you will get grilled if you have one in public and get a good sentence, which is the right way, but to licence things like paintball guns airguns etc would be the only sure way, raking the prices of everything right up due to all the paperwork and legislation, and even then would it truely solve it, if someones enough of a bellend to do stuff like that then theyll probably just rob someone on their way home from the paintball field anyways so really it would just be punishing us for the actions of a minority of idiots,they see these safety things, warnings past stories and think its a joke.

what sort of sentence do you get for firing pb markers etc at people outside of the proper context in the us?

I work at skirmish and we host the largest paintball game in the world (Invasion Of Normandy) and from there you get to see alot of very stupid people that get a little out of hand. I think it is so stupid and ridiculous that people will actually try to cause people serious injury by freezing their balls, using solid plasic balls, or trying to shoot marbles. Its a freaking game to have fun, not cause problems and get someone sent to the hospital. If your going to play the sport, play it right and fair.
