I was out playing today, and had a little trouble with my legend for the first time. I had mechanical bounce, so if I hit the back of my tank, it fired. And my trigger isn't even that sensitive. If I change the debounce, that should fix it, right? What should I set it at?

Also, the front screw that holds the grip on will not stat on. I resorted to duct-tape and the back screw to hold it together. Its not stripped, because when I take the grip frame off, it goes in the hole, but when I put the frame back on and try it, it won't "catch" the threads. It just keeps spinning. WTF??

you may have stripped just the top of the threads .... where it will still go in past that but not at the start when you start to thread the screw in

you can go up to the next size screw and problems fixed

im thinking about doing some really minor machine work for cheap

think anyone would be interested?

yeah, i thought that might be it. just the very tip. any ideas where to pick one up? or just run over to the proshop?

most always screws are a higher "hardness" rating than the threads they go into ... so you need a new screw and you would need your frame retapped to the next size

for the bouncing issue ... turn your AMB up one or two and back your microswitch set screw on your trigger out a touch (or it could be the screw that controls how far back your trigger sits ... i hope you know what i mean

hitting the tank and causing the marker to fire is not a debounce issue. most markers with super light trigger pulls will do this, you can reduce it by adjusting the activation point in your trigger and/or the magnetic return strength. but unless you have a really heavy trigger pull, it will not completely go away.

legends in general i find to not have a heavy trigger pull at all. try backing out the activation point screw a bit that should help and as far as AMD goes i have mine at 3-4 and i get minimal bounce. if it becomes a problem i just up it one more. hope that his helped

i fixed the bounce by adjusting the micro switch trigger.
and i think the tip of the screw or where the screw goes in might be stripped at the very tip. so im looking for the next size up when i play next weekend.

i also fixed my chopping problem, because the BIP delay was to high, so it thought it didnt fire when it had (the pulse just shoves a new ball in really fast) and then turned its eyes off. so its all good now, just waiting for a screw

just so you know man

you need to have the threads in your body drilled and tapped to the next size up ... dont try just threading your screw into your already stripped hole ... that could cause bigger problems

yeah, i know, lol.
first im going to see if they have the same screw from a different legend that will work. if not, then i will need it tapped up.
