No offense, but a Freak has an internal honing not much better than a stock barrel. Evil and ACI both have MUCH better barrel systems, for the same(if not cheaper) amount of money. As an added benefit, no more internal sleeves to worry about sliding, losing bore trueness(nice straight bore), or breaking.
For the economical minded, just buy a good barrel, get a micrometer, find your barrel size, and buy the right size paint.
(Contact manufacturers to find general paint sizing. PMI has this on their website http://www.buypmi.com and I know other companies would be happy to help.

Well I know one thing for sure. My gun is very accurate and I give credit to my freak and all of teh vapor mods put on teh gun to make it extremley low pressure(thanks to goldie). the freak barrel is a very nice barrel. I knwo taht the evil pipe is micro honed to the lowest possible but they also have had proboems about the tip of the barrel being weak and bending and breaking in some cases. thats why I didnt get the pipe. that and it is more expensive than the freak and it has less inserts plus teh color selection sucks for it. I know that if you dont play rough and slam your equipment into the ground then you wont have to worry about it breaking but when Im on teh 50 with a couple hundred balls coming at me Im not worried about my equipment at the time. almost every time I go I slam my gun into the ground(sometimes barrel frist) sliding into the 50. oh and I have never had a insert slid or shift while playing. I was hesitant on it before I got it but now I see that after you screw the two pieces together and screw the barrel intot eh gun, it creats a tight lock. the sleeves fit much tighter( not really tight) than people say and about people saying that they shift and stuff inside the barrel, they dont. Im just saying that the freak is a very accurate and durable barrel with many inserts to choose from to get the perfect barrel match.

All i'm saying is, I had a freak kit for my IR3, and it was of poor quality. I could look down the barrel and the sleeves would be misaligned, the o-rings came beat the h3ll up from the factory(which they replaced), and I don't really care to have an extra suitcase to carry around with barrel sleeves. Evil has since fixed the problem with barrel tips being brittle/thin, and the kit I had never once broke, dented, or breaking. I treat my guns pretty rough in the 50 too, and have never had a problem with my Evil Pipe. As for colors, get a blue/silver/red gun and you don't need to worry about color choices...lol.
As long as you're saying that

, include the Evil Pipe System. It may have less options to choose from, but lets be honest, how many times has your paint ALL been .687, or .688, or .689?

A5 Flatlines
I have two friends who each have thier own A5. Individually, they each purchased flatlines for them, from different locations and at different times. Neither guy could hit a barn door if thier life depended on it. One guy uses the E-Grip, while the other is RT. Rapid fire, sniping, it just doesn't matter. The balls veer left and right unpredictably - but they do go really, really far (just the wrong direction). And yes, they checked bore/ball sizing.
One had a 98C with the flatline before the A5, and was very pleased.

with the tippmann flatline barrel i have found that it is very important to make sure that the barrel is clean and free of paint.
Also the blow test does not work on flateline barrels because of its curved design that puts spin on the ball. The ball is supposed to have a slightly different size than the barrel's bore size to allow the ball to spin correctly.

Has anyone heard of ThunderPig barrels? I bought one off e-bay, and I'd like to know what the bore size is/ what paint to use.
Thanks!
