i bought some squadbuster and i wanted to know if anybody has turned one (or has plans) to turn one of the grenades into a trip mine

never thought of it, but it might be possible with a good design and some elbow grease.

All you would need is wire/string and a way to secure the grenade so that when the wire is tripped the cap alone is pulled, not the entire grenade.

Paintball grenades are generaly never used, possibly in the scenario play so i would try there.(in its forum that is)

Heh, this IS the scenario equipment forum.
Where'd you think YOU were?

Anyways, I don't think a trip wire will work. I believe an impact is needed to release the balls in the ends of the tubes holding back the paint.

this is a really low tech idea but i think it will work. put the grenade under a large rock. the weight will be enough to push out the ball bearings and squirt out the paint hopefully and it will camoflauge the "mine".then just rig up a trip wire to the pin.

just sucure the grenade to a tree/stake then tie to pin then pull the pin and tie to a tree/stake
