Any recommendations for a field in NJ that is somewhat newbie friendly? I've been playing on and off for the past 4 years, but it's been mostly rec/wooded field playtime.

I've been to a couple of places in the past, most of which aren't around anymore and the people were just too aggressive and it made it pretty hard to really try and learn anything.

Been awhile since I came around to the nation but, might I suggest picking the closest field you are familiar with, or even just enjoy. The only way to get better at any sport either paintball or other is to keep on playing against harder and more difficult match ups. It is tough to really get a feel for the game when everyone has it in for ya, and learning is pretty tough but you will learn the most when you lose... as crappy as that is.

hmm, really anywhere but atlas. Atlas is VERY comopetitive and I love it for that that but not the best place if your new. I would just go to the nearest field to you. If you tell us what town you live in we can get a better idea.

Atlas is the best field in NJ regardless of your skill. Atlas IS very competitive, however the players/staff there are always helping people out to improve their overall playing. Its also a plus playing with skilled players as it will boost your learning experience up much quicker. No matter where you play, have fun, and Good luck!

Yea, I know it's a good thing. I just worded it wrong in my original post. I just don't want to have to play in an environment that resembles rexplex. Biggest group of asshat's I've ever met/played with in my life used to visit that place.
