Curse whoever keifed the break-beam Merlin. I was going to use that as my prototype. If you know whoever got it, tell me so I can see about buying it off of them. Just PM me if you need any Merlin help. I know about all you need to about them.

can you please prove that statement, or is it one of the things you would have to call for?

You have to call for them. I have done it myself and it is true. They have plenty left.

Not sure if anyone is following my project but I just have a updated picture with the hidden milling for the bottom of the gun body.

The milling doesn't go all the way into the bottom tube, really it's just taking out some extra meat.

Sorry I never got the CAD file to you. Looks like Haveblue had no problem doing it though. I never actually figured how much weight it would remove though. Probably a few ounces at least. BTW, you can do that same milling to any cocker Tippy. Even a beginning machinist can do it.
How light is that body, TheePsycho? Do you like the eye wire slot idea I came up with?

Yeah he had no problem. He made the bottom .15" thick since when he measured the outside of the tube it was .1" thick
Haven't weighed the thing yet. I have a baby scale at work I can weigh it on not sure how accurate it will be.

It's seriously that thick? I know the safest allowable limit is .05, so I would have expected that he'd at least of pushed it to .08. Oh well, it's always better to be safe than to lose that extra .25 oz.
And, to reiterate, Do you like the eye wire/cocking noid wire slot idea I came up with? I'm not sure if it will actually help or not, but I thought it could be useful.
