its an air assisted seal, no springs, just air pushes it forward until that o-ring passes by the dump area where the dump chamber can then open that valve with its pressure and that air then releases to fire the ball.
interesting design, some new concepts but i don't see a huge difference between other spool valves and this besides the air assisted valve.
i see problems with that front o-ring breaking alot. how are you suppose to change that if it does break, it would definately need a small pointed object to get that o-ring out if it didn't fall out when it broke. plus if it does break it will cause blowback problems but i dunno how much blowback it would cause.
