I was bored, so here be the ultimate DM8. 1800's style decorative weapon patterning and colours, would probably look best with a pearl white loader and leather barrel cover. I love taking modern stuff and smushing it together with something old school, always comes out neet

cheers guys, yeah jeffers you may remember I suggested a gun like this way back when you first moved to Dye. Took it upon myself to mock it up roughly since I thought it could look cool and I've just learned photoshop properly. I think you guys could rock that pretty well - you'd have this whole elite royal guard vibe going down haha. You already sortof do I guess.
By the way that's custom milling and not just anno... and for it to be the real deal it'd be actual gold plated with custom ivory/bone grips (obviously artificial unless you want the whole 1800s lets kill elephants vibe).

I do remember!
Definitely fake Ivory (Elephants FTW) but it would be worth having a go as a one off, just to see how it turns out. Saw th milling and it does add to the flow of the gun.

ps.... do you know of any good online PS tutorials? Just started playing with PS and Illustrator but wading through the help files and the getting used to the terminology is a bit of a chore.

Honestly I don't, I've been doing an animation course and so it's all been spoon fed, which is pretty sweet. That said it's not really as difficult as you might think.
If I run into anything good I'll post it up.
By the way, I've also learned after effects - visible paint streams are so easy I can't understand why they haven't been done yet!
