The G3's trigger guard looks much smaller that the fusions'. Have you found it to be somewhat cramped or is there enough room to walk the trigger easily?

No, I think there is plenty of room. The Fusion/Threshold trigger guard is MUCH bigger than is really necessary.

Ignoring the price difference, plastic parts, and all that crap- just looking at how the gun shoots

How does the shot of this gun compare to the SLG? Does one have more barrel rise than the other?

As you can see, I've owned an SLG (actually two). One I put on all NDZ
parts (trigger, on/off, back cap, feedneck), the other had the UL trigger.
The guns seem to be fine, but I'm really not a fan of that big ol' Proto frame,
and it being plastic makes it even worse.

Besides the frame, the gun feels quite small in your hands and seems like a
steal at $200, but you dump $100 more into it for the "necessary" ups. And
you still have a plastic trigger frame. If they ever come out with an UL frame,
that's another $150 or so. While at this point the gun would be VERY slim and
feel great in your hands (and be about the same price as the G3). I would
still prefer the G3 on performance alone.

Played with the G3 for the first time tonight. It was just a
practice/scrimmage and I only shot about a half case of paint through it.

Funny thing happened though:

On Saturday when I made the vids I used the stock barrel when chrono'ing
(and WalMart paint). The gun was consistently in the 290's. I did not
change the reg or dwell at all since then. When I got all set to go at the field
tonight I went to chrono (indoors, lower velocity limit). To my surprise my
velocity was barely over 200fps!!! I had to turn up the pressure significantly
to just get 275fps.

Throughout the night I noticed quite a bit more kick than when I shot it on
Saturday I did not break any paintballs though. Unfortunately I didn't
track efficiency at all.

Afterwards, I realized that I just threw on a random barrel back from my Redz
kit. Turns out it was .691 and wayy too big for the paint I think this
is why I had to turn up the pressure so much. I also noticed the gun seemed
quite a bit louder.

Even with a bit of kick and some extra loudness, the gun shot GREAT! No
breaks at all and I can RIP on the trigger. I haven't even adjusted it since I
got it Everyone that held it (basically everyone there) liked it a lot, and
were all curious about the "hook"

Xluben, have you shot your G3 with ultra crisp paint? Like high grade tournament paint?

Because the one I have seen an tried seemed to have quite a bit of problems shooting with really crisp paint. Splurge hell. And was wondering if it might be a problem with the gun I have tried, or is it just not able to shoot high grade tournament paint?

I hope it can shoot tournament paint fairly well. What have you shot through it besides walmart paint?

At practice we shot some Draxxus rec grade paint. It was not very good, but I
did not break any in my gun. At NCPA Nationals this weekend we will most likely
be shooting VERY brittle paint. I hope it goes well...

And when I used the iQ I was using a .693 Freak ... and I mentioned it had more kick than the Threshy

So big paint in a big bore requires more air to shoot then smaller paint in a small bore so thats why your fps was lower at first?
