But for a one time thing where it is out of wallet, I think an event later in the season, say Cup, would be a great goal. PFDs could pay for the trip
In my experience, as long as everyone has the fundamentals down and keeps playing and doing drills on their own, you only need to get the whole team together say once a month to mesh. Of course, more the better, but I think you can see where I'm getting at with this.

it wasn't that expensive for me in phoenix
i think i spent like 300 in total for paint and entry and ****
as a team though we might have to rent a van, hotel rooms, and fly though too which are the expensive parts

dude if we got a roster going and team id be all up and down everywhere looking for sponsers, but u dont think well get any pb companies.
also i did a quick search and didnt see any events in the fall in the western region. i see a couple on the other coast but that fight would cost more.

True sponsorship is a two was street. You have to be able to offer the sponsor something in return. Otherwise it's just charity and a tax write off for the business. If you go out asking for sponsors, be prepared and tell them what you can offer them.
D3 x-ball event champs don't get much more than stuff at cost and some paint, so a team from AK as no shot at PB company sponsors.

exactly
the closest ur going to get to a pb company sponsorship is someone like redz or angel selling u stuff at a very cheap price

The only "sponsorships" you'll get is wholesale priced gear from the pb industry. Forget the pb industry, it is a waste of time... theirs and yours.
Local businesses do like write-offs for charity and non-profits. There is no business positives for them to sponsor uniforms or entry fees for pee wee football and little league baseball except that they can boast to the community that they care.
Be very careful how you approach business owners for money. If you come across the wrong way, you will be permanently despised. The best thing that I can think of that is proven is to ask a local business if they need help distributing coupons. Believe it or not, it is very costly to distribute them if you hire a company to do it for you. It is an insane amount of time for a small business owner to do it themselves.
That is one proven method that I have had the kids that I coached do and it has paid off pretty well for them. Key in begging for money is asking a business owner what they need. If you can provide that service cheaper and give the same results as a professional, that owner would be a fool not to use you. Often times, you have to keep casting your lure before you finally score.
In terms of begging for money, you will spend a ton of time initially, persistence is the key.
This now concludes my lecture on begging for money.

That might be possible. Most paint prices are tournies are reduced severely. I know the tourney I went to a couple years ago we paint $20/case for chronic. But that was before all the companies started cutting back.

i could try the behind the scenes stuff... paint is already at a reduced cost at the NPPL and PSP.
there is no way that this team will get help any further than reduced cost at the big events. stuff like ninjaball, nwps, or survivor series... you pay what they charge.
but I really do think that Cup would be a great goal with PFDs and time to prepare for it skill wise and financially.

no, that is my recommendation... play local events to get the team part down and everyone has to do their own personal drills on an individual basis when the team isnt together.

down in phoenix, DXS was having a special for ppl whose home field was 23bps (big field down there) and it was buy one get one free
so my team bought paint together and most of em played there so i got 6 cases of silver for like 130 or sumthing about that

lol
we probably won't have a rost together until summer due to the fact that many of the ballers in alaska don't hang out on here and we need to try to get the best players on the team to rep AK
