The point was that you cant win a war without land troops, which you said. Then you gave examples and talked about land troops being used in an invasion of Iran, contradict yourself much?

That's not what I was trying to imply, but as far as I'm concerned, what you just explained is an opinion as well since I made it obvious that it was coming from my perspective.

I was trying to imply that liberals on this forum are much more ignorant and conceited than what I see in liberals I meet in reality...

I don't believe he ever said that you can win a war with land troops. I think he was saying that you can send a country into a submissive state without them, and the overthrow would come from infantry being used for clean-up. The number of these troops depends on how quickly you want the overthrow to occur or size of the population of that specific country.

In my opinion an invasion doesn't have as much to do with the deterioration of the area/country as much as it has to do with maintaining an active presence.

Oh yes of course, that means they don't have anything they plan to do with it... right?

What if that wealthy person happens to have 25 kids that all want to go to Harvard and have the grades to do so? Should we deny those kids their opportunity to fulfill their dreams in education simply because their father was a successful man that happened to be a wealthy man?

What if that wealthy person becomes the leading financial donor in cancer research?

What if that wealthy person starts an organization that ends up providing extra financing to the poor?

In my eyes, if you make the assumption that they use that money solely for their personal wants then you are envisioning them as evil. A man has a right to his money, and shouldn't be charged extra in taxes simply because he's more successful than other people. Not only is that discouraging economic progression but it's also being unfair towards their ambitions.

Don't assume without evaluating the situation first; and for pete's sake, give them the benefit of the doubt. Innocent until proven guilty, right?

so then its completely fair for the Middle class to pay the full brunt of the taxes. Just becuase the rich person is rich, and he might help somebody out?

Umm... they don't pay the full brunt of taxes. The upper class has the highest tax rates than any other class. I'm not the only one on this forum aware of this either.

I think the "evil rich" pay more than "their fair share" of the taxes in this country....that's why they need tax breaks. Plus the "evil rich" are the ones who have disposable income to sink back into the economy to help it grow.
I also never said we should deny them their right to their money, either. I think everyone is entitled to the check they earn.
The Income Tax, in my honest opinion, is completely bogus.

Worst case scenario? Mike Huckabee is the Dawson's Creek trapper keeper from South park.... He keeps coming back, no matter how many times we get rid of him... Because it is in fact God's will for him to become president and mold the constitution of what is supposed to be a secular nation to better suit the Christian religion.

What’s your WCS for the results of the 2008 elections?

I’m imagining Hillary winning the nomination with Super delegates, picking up Obama to secure the ticket as her VP and envisioning an all out brawl in November against McCain, where a recount is demanded when it comes down to vote by vote election.

Civil war breaks out, and the country's economy is reduced to using "Dorritos" as currency.

What's yours?
God I love dorritos.

He was an advocate for smaller government by implementing the Fair Tax (which eliminates the IRS). No other candidate was willing to impliment the amount of change that would have happended with the implimentation of the Fair Tax.

I was very close to throwing my support towards him, except he's too into putting religion and politics together for my liking.
