Western Washington University Paintball
This will be the main thread for all information regarding paintball at WWU, after having seen several threads develop, and have decided that having a single thread would be best for keeping track of whats going on.
Information will be added as it becomes available, including a screen name list, team email, and website.

Welcome to the emergence of the Washington state college build up! (Actually I know you guys have been organized for a while now)
Can you give a break down of how many people you have going for your club/team, etc? What are your guys' plans for the next year or so?
WSU and UofI have been working hard over last 6 or so months to get a dedicated following going, and I think its finally paying off.

once WWU gets a decent number of guys playing together it'd be cool to setup some scrimmages with UW. just post up in our thread if/when you guys want to setup a practice or something.
Do you think it'd be possible for WWU to throw a team together for a possible NW college tournament on March 30th?

XSycloneX: If I can get a hold of some people and work out cost and transportation, I think it'd be do-able. Right now we're trying to expand more than anything so I think we'd be doing more rec type playing.

if you're in the B-ham area, then you're free to join us, but as far as any NCPA tourneys, I think you are required to be a student at WWU or its satellite campus. Consult the rules for more info on that issue.

Alright. I talked to the NCPA, and if we can get the 4 NW Universities with clubs/teams to commit (UW, WWU, WSU, and UI), then the tournament is a go.
Entry will be cheap, not sure about paint prices, I'll find out and let you know. It would be a great way to get the word out about WWU paintball, especially since it will be at the same time/place as the High School regional championships. I'll make sure to have a photographer there to cover the whole thing too.
I'd really like to make this happen, so if you could get back to me ASAP, that'd be awesome.

we're still working on our own logistics (mailing list and so on), so getting word out is a bit difficult, but I'm trying.

Regarding the NCPA tourney:
It sounds like Justin can play for sure, so there's one, but we need at least 4 others. I may be able to go if I can find someone to fill in for me at GQ to help with their scenario. I'd also need to borrow a tank since both of mine just went past hydro.

College 5-man:
$150 (if paid by Thursday, March 20)
$175 (if paid by Wednesday, March 26)
$200 (if paid by Friday, March 28th)
Field Paint Only. At past DZ indoor tourneys, paint started out at $45 a case. It'll probably be the same this time around.
Every player on your team must get registered on APPA
Even if you can't pay right away, get your team registered now.
You do not have to pay for the tournament, or even have your roster finalized, when registering your team. You can pay anytime before the event.
Save yourself some money, lets get signed up and paid for sooner than later guys!

Well why wouldn't we save the money and get that payment in right away? I've seen in other threads all the talk of these great WWU players so where are you guys? Let's get a team rollin' and make an appearance and an impression Sunday March 30th. There's got to be more people than just myself and k.rollin who are down to play against nearby universities.

so we go in there, without practice together, without even knowing some of our own teammates, who may or not play woodsball and play a tourny representing our univesity. I think were going to fast. I can think of 3, maybe four players that i think could play a tourny decently. the club is hardly going at all. we need dedicated players and a dedicated sponsor. would the school treat us like a sport and pay for it, or would the students have to pay.
