Well I turned it up to 80 after reading the AKA website. It says 140-180 sidewinder output, pneumatics pressure 80-90.

I don't know all the stuff yet. I am a relatively new AKA owner, but I found my soul mate marker, haha.

Set the sidewinder to aobut 200-220...thats what Aaron designed the vikings to ruin at and bring your LPR down to 72ish

If I am getting 280 FPS with the winder at 160 then how could a guy run it at 200 without shooting hot?

because you compensate with the lpr...when you run the lprs up in the 80's it will bring your velocity up ..when i set guns at the shop i alway bring the winders to between 210-220..and start the lprs at 72...if i am hot i adjust down with the lpr..i run my 2 litres at 200 and my lprs in the 60's on my personal guns.....the 200-225 for the winders came right from aarons mouth to Jared....Jared told me to run them at that pressure so i do

I will give that a try, thanks for the information, I really like that you proposed this with logic, haha.

Should I do the same on my excal?

Currently my excal is shooting 280 FPS with winder just under 200 and pneumatics running around 85.

That sounds pretty high for an excal...generally they operate 20-40psi lower then vikings with the LPR somewhere between 65-72. Whats the dwell set at on the excal?

Yes...you want to run the lpr as low as you can go without Drop off...on my Joker viking i run my lpr at 62...but then again that gun has the rt valve, and i run my dwell a bit low...but without the valve that gun always ran about 67 psi...so set your winders at about 215-220...

I was told to never use the lpr to adjust velocity. Strange i will have to try setting my hpr at 210 as well.

You don't use it to adjust velocity...so you are right...once you set the LPR on a viking you should never have to touch it again...drop off isn't velocity..what i do and you shouldnt is I set my Reg to about 210...bring teh lpr up to 72ish and then back it down until i get drop off and inconsitincy..then i bring it up until that goes away...then i leave it...then i set the velocity with the main reg...and yes i always have my gauge in etc....this is how you "sweet spot" the gun....you don't need to do this...let me say it again you don't NEED to...so don't...lol...set the lpr to 70ish and the reg to 210-220 and go shoot faces

My excal has the WAS board 1.6 and the dwell is 12, any lower than that and I was getting low FPS.
