Need a few bands...

I'm not too sure what genre they fall into, but i'm looking to music similar to The Smiths. If any of you guys know of anything good, i appreciate it.

Mostly looking for the type of music you would see in snowboarding films, if you know what style i'm talking about.

I don't know if The Smiths are "mostly the type of music you'd see in snowboarding films", but there was a ton of stuff along those lines. The Smiths were at the top of their genre at the time, but you could also check out Echo and the Bunnymen and The Church. I'm sure a lot of stuff penned under new wave and post punk in the 80's would float your boat.

Well you could try Morrissey's solo stuff..Pretty damn good and if you liked the smiths its pretty much the same stuff only with a bit of a updated sound.

My gf listens to this kind of music minus the "songs you hear in snowboarding films" if you really care I could ask her and give you some more suggestions
