It's not really that general, the use of a specific type of display on a paintball circuit board. I donno, if you thought of something like that wouldn't you want to make sure you got credit for it? At least that is the way most of us Americans think.

Don't know how true this is, nor how broad and far reaching the patent, but I have been led to believe that WDP actually patented the concept of having an adjustable board in a paintball marker. However, they've never (publically at least) made an issue of protecting the patent, other than when dealing with some of the more litigious members of the paintball community. It's their trump card - if someone threatens to sue them, they can threaten to countersue.

One of these days I'll have to pull all the patent numbers out of the Angel manuals and see if I can trace what they actually relate to, but so far, well..... Let's face facts, I haven't been bothered enough to do it.

That's pretty damn general. From my understanding, it's not of a specific type of display. It's any type of display.

It's similar to the guy who patented the idea of the on-screen keyboard. He didn't create ****, he patented it so he could sue the **** out of companies (sued Apple over the Iphone, and some other companies).

Other than the Yakuza OLED boards ($170), Tadao boards are all $140 or less.
