Yea, I'm serious.
Maybe talk to the owner of "soccer world" in Rochester. That's indoors. Dunno what the clean up would entail. I'd ref, and clean up. I don't care. I just wanna see some action in SE Minnesota.

Im not afraid of the cold, but gear just does not work in the cold like it does when its warm. And of course you have the issue of taking care of the paint. Even if paint engineered for cold weather was used, if it gets cold enough that stuff will start to chop and what not.
Playing outdoors in MN in January is just not practical, unless you get an unusually warm day.
If you are getting the craving to play, just go to Air Assault, or do some research of other indoor places. WI might have some that are close to you.

I agree.
It's funny how nobody in Rochester has even heard of playing indoors. Re-ball is good for practicing, but that's about it. No dis-respect to the owners, but if you wanna put your place on the map. Then do an event like Sup Air Bowl 2008. It's just good business if you ask me.
But who am I?

Yeah, maybe you should go to Soccer World or w/e its called to build some sort of relationship with the owners and then you could suggest a SAB at their place. Its to late for SAB 08 but maybe this place could be the venue for SAB 09.

Thank you for your input. However I will continue to look for a location around St. Cloud (where we are located) or around the Msp/Stp metro area.

The MWPPA is awesome, but for the record, SAB was around a long time before it and usually draws way more teams from a bigger area. Its also a different format, 3-man vs. 5-man ramping and all that. Both are great events.

but why have just one? why not have both? sup air could still be a great once a year tourny with alot of teams. the prizes could change a bit along with some rules, like not starting anywhere in the back.

SAB is not happening this year. Period. This is part of the reason why the MWPPA is putting on this 3man. SAB was extremely popular and allot of people chose to play that event for the five years it existed.
And starting anywhere off the back is the bomb, it allowed us to blow away people with pumps while sandbagging the rookie division in the last one. Seeded first going into finals and then got booted, much to the crowds disappointment.
Good times.
