My friend is from Germany here on a work visa and we got him playing woodsball with us. He bought an SP1 so he won't have to rent guns anymore. It seems he won't be able to bring it back to Germany with him because it doesn't have some gay little pentagon shaped "F" stamp on the body. Has anyone ever seen this stamped on a gun before? I might have to help him sell the gun on ebay or something, but it would be nice to find out more about the stamp and where he might find an border-friendly gun he can use when he goes back. Thanks.

As far as I know there is no way of buying a paintball marker in US and bringing it "back" to Germany. The "stamp" is a seal that every "weapon" carries in Germany (there are various) and it is issued by the government.

I am sure there are ways to fake it, but it would be illegal and if detected in Germany, your friend would have some major trouble.
Another thing is the max fps. I think in Germany they have lower speed setting. Something around 240 fps. So, markers released in Germany are set for lower speeds.

Yes. If you want to buy a paintball gun for Germany, you have to buy it in germany. F pretty much stands for firearm. When we sell to the importers in Germany, they do their own F-stamp and it is government regulated.

I think he might hold on to it until he leaves (a year from now). He was going to sell it sooner if he could buy another that had the stamp, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. Who knows, I might buy it when he leaves just for kicks. Thanks for the info.
