Wow, this thread is cool!
And not to make this vs, but the Ego8 has very nice accents.
However, I like that the F8 is structurally close to the Ego8. Makes me feel all good inside that I'm gonna get one soon. lol

Nice, good job. It is really a compliment to DP that they can put out a gun for less than half the cost that can sit right next to an Ego and hold its own.

perhaps once the F8 is broken in, im lobbing balls with the F8 right now cause i do not want to go over 250 psi so i will wait until i get to the chrono and really get a feel for the gun.

I hate the top end of paintball markers like the DM and Egoes. I mean, you pay 1000+ USD for marginally better performance just because you saw XSV or the Ironmen or Dynasty play with them, even though they're being paid to do so.
From what I've read and heard about the F8, it offers comparable performance for 1/3 of the price. And that's great in my book.

that ego is so sexy but i never would think the f8 could weigh that much more than an ego not saying its alot but idk i always thought an f8 was extremely light campared to all guns
ps someone should make a threshold to dm8 comparison!

that is not why people buy dm's and ego's. they buy for the reliability, good cs, and level of quality that goes into the products. dm's and ego's are pretty much the pinnacle of their respective designs. (yes, i know that is arguable, yet it is my opinion.) i am purchasing an ego not because proface mcdynasty shoots it. i am buying it because my middle-end guns seem to be always goin down on me, with the exception of my fusion.
edit: that ego is just striaght up gorgeous

if an ego 08 is in your budget i would go with that, but you wont be disappointed either way. Its hard to justify the cost for the ego as i can buy a crate motor for my car for 1800 lol, but thats comparing apples to oranges. Either way you will be left satisfied.

becuase I am able to get ego8's for around 900ish, and f8's for 350..I was just wondering which was better for the money..I actually kinda like the design of the f8 more, and the size etc. If the ego didnt have a brand name, idthink it would be as good of a gun as it is lived up to be. Although it is incredible.

I would go for a used 07 ego if you want an ego.
