Yes, get the Excal. You'll be much happier with it.

yes but.......

as far as gun goes, its great but will it equal in value?? right now im thinking he should add something more. because the tank has a date of 11-00 and 150 cash well...... this is still a very expensive cobra. BUT thanks for your input

Well, to tell you the truth that Excal is very expensive, too. I'd say he has at least $1400 in it. Plus he's adding a Centerflag (Very good tank) that is worth at least $200, so that is $1600. Plus the $150 that is somewhere around $1750. How much did your Cobra cost? If anything just haggle with the guy, and if he really wants to do business then he'll deal. But if I were in your shoes I'd trade in a heartbeat because I'm not a fan of Angels. But that is just me

retail costs compare

Excal deal
Custom Excal like his. $1600
CenterFlag 201 tank $350
Drop Zone $80
and 150 cash
Total of roughly 2180 dollars take or give.

Mine the Limited Cobra
Cobra with Flame anno $2900
includes charger and cobra barrel
14" All american $120
and maybe 10" freak tip. $100
Totals up to $3120 roughly.

And yes i agree with you that if he wants it or vise versa than we will haggle.

Semi Unbiased Opinion...

I own a Dark LCD and an Excal.
Plain and simple, both guns rock.

You have an awsome limited edition angel and he has an awesome limited excal.

The real question is are you looking for something different to play around with? Maybe a little board of the Angel for a while and wanting something different to shoot?

If so, trade him! It's not a bad deal. You won't be displeased with the excal.

Just my 2 cents.

$2900!!!!!

Why don't you just sell it for cash and then buy his excal? Or just sell it and buy a new one? Just some thoughts.

You could maybe get 1900-2000 for your gun. If he throws in a tank and some cash, I'd say it's even.

You do have a 2 year old Cobra, it's certainly not new, whether or not you've taken amazing care of it.

Keep your cobra. Don't sell it man. I have to lie because I'm in a akalmp forum so I'll start by saying. Both guns rock about the same. However, the truth of it is that your cobra will and can outperform the excalibur.(But I can't say that in here without getting flamed so just ignore that last line). Personally I don't see why you would want to trade. you have a nice gun that won't ever fail on ya. And also once you get rid of it you know you will want it back. So why bother? just keep it and buy an excal later down the road.

Lightbulb response

Chemmy, well the thing is 2k is kinda low considering its got only 30k shots (most of trigger adjustements long story). and also is because my Ripper Timmy is my main gun. I'll have to disagree on the fact that it is 2 years old. Right now cobra produces the 2k1 series. plus i only got it last year.

Msmfc, u know what? i will do that. i think its a great idea. why get rid of a sweet gun like the cobra? its not being produced anymore. anyways, i think i will buy such a nice excal like this guy's in the future. Thanks for the response.

Tough choice

Why do you want to sell your custom Cobra anyway? You spent a heck of a lot of money on something you're considering trading away. Are you looking at the iR3 at all or you just wanted to try a closed bolt?

It'll be hard to get $3k back for your Cobra but someone might consider $2.5 -2k. Some used ones are going in the $2-1.5 range though. I personally think they're great guns but I never could justify the cost myself. With the body style change you have a true collector's item now.

The Excaliber is a very nice closed bolt gun. Whether it's worth the price difference is up to you. I don't think the tank should be a factor in this trade because it just confuses the issue.

I suppose the bottom line is what you think it's worth. Tough choice - gl

I will not flame But I will say my brother has a cobra Angel (though it didn't cost him $2900) and he much prefers the Excal. Also, another teammate has a Dark Angel and he prefers the Excal, as well.

So what's the point? That quote above is opinion.

The point is that he is telling the truth. Your statement of "that quote is opinion" is just your way of justifying getting ripped off from buying an Excalibur. As for your brother and friend, maybe he just wants a change, I would have recommended him a cocker. Or maybe he is too ashamed to admit that he likes his Angel better in fear of ridicule for spending so much money on an equal or inferior gun.

Also if you read msmfc post in more detail you would have realized that he ISN'T saying don't buy an Excalibur. He IS saying DON'T sell or trade your Cobra. And he IS saying buy one down the road.
