is a tetra worth 40 bucks?

action village is selling a tetra for $40 is it even worth consideration to use as a main marker? or even as a back-up marker?

Action Village must have a lot of them they're trying to get rid of quick. They have 10 of them for sale on ebay that end today. Right now one of them is bringing more at auction than the advertised price on their website. The rest are still showing $.99 to $10.00

The last one ends at 7:22 PM PST tonight.

Get this, I scored one of those Tetras for $36 shipped and I owe it to this thread because otherwise I wouldn't have even been looking. Anyway, I plan on giving it as a gift to one of my family members.

Its a good gun. My friends has one, and I find it lighter than my ACS, and other than that it's exactly the same on the field. The only downside is that its not as easy to find parts or upgrades for. (though I wouldn't recommend putting any money into this gun anyways)

Good gun for the money!

lol nice. i may just try to buy one and put the frame on my quadra. it'd be cheaper than sending my quadra out to get fixed

I don't know if the quadra allowed full-auto or not but if you do the swap, keep in mind that the tetra grip is semi-auto only.

I can't imagine it would be that different from my 4.0 which is pretty simple to remove. There's a pin that's driven in from the side of the grip that holds the sear in place. A small nail with light taps from a hammer is usually enough to drive it out. And I bet a new sear could be had for $10 shipped or less.

I got the Tetra from Action Village and this thing absolutly rocks! I gave it to my teenage brother and I'm amazed at how fast he can shoot it. I only have an X-board revy and he was easily outshooting it. I'm guessing upwards of 15BPS or more.

The only thing that had to be done to the marker was a good lube job because at first it wasn't firing very fast and the velocity was slow. After being lubed it worked perfect.

The only thing I don't like about it, although it's sure to scare the pants off someone in an ambush, is the noise. This is easily the loudest marker I've ever heard.

I looked at viewloaderparts.com and even they don't have a sear, which probably means you are SOL. However, I ground down a sear on a Raptor once and got it working again so you might consider the same. If you decide to just get rid of it, PM me and maybe we can make a deal.
