How do i get the feed neck off??
Ok, my brother has a PMI Pirahna SRT, and i'm fixing it for him, but i dont know how to get the damn feed neck off. I'm trying to get him a new one, because the one he has his hopper won't fit inside. Thanks ppl

UMM, you don't want to take the feedneck off, if i'm not mistaken pirahnas are known for have their feednecks welded on, and if it comes off you will need to get a new body

yep, it's a piranha !

srt has a removable feedneck. it will take a little work. if you are not going to use it again drill a hole all the way throught it and stick a screwdriver through the holes and twist it off. or if you dont want to ruin it, wrap a washcolth around it and use a set of channel locks.

what steve said or try heating it up with a hair dryer (to loosen the threadlock) and then try twisting it off by hand or with the strap wrench
a vise works also for twisting it off

ive tried heating them up and it never works for me. i wonder what im doing wrong when i try the dryer.
