SPPL support thread
This is in support of those people with questions or comments about the SPPL.
Flaming will not be tolerated. There is no perfect format for paintball, this is in support of but one of them. Flamers will be reported.
I invite everyone that plays in the SPPL, or is interested in the SPPL, to post in here. We will try to keep things up to date with announcements that are important to the SPPL and it's players.

Lots of rule changes coming up for the 2008 season. We already have seen an announcement from Jayson saying that he is lifting the hopper restriction for 2008, as long as it is not abused.

But if players abuse it and try to shoot over the 15 bps, the penalty will be so step you would be an idiot to do it. You will also be branded a cheater and your team will be under increased scrunity. If it continues your team will be ejected from the event. and I will reserve the right to go back to the restrictions in 09.

I think the decision to lift the hopper restriction for 08 has been changed. Oh and for the record SPPL is the most fun I've ever had playing paintball, flaws and all.

Yes, the hopper restriction is still in affect.
BUT, it is not gone, it will be up to the captains of the various teams that attend the SPPL (I am guessing those teams that showed up to more than one event per year, or have consistently showed up to the same event every year) to make the decision whether to lift the hopper restriction or not.

I just found out that the Pennsylvania Major event has been canceled. It will held in New York instead, at Cousins Paintball field in Plattekill, NY. I have not seen if it is still the same weekend, I will update as I find out.
