i put my ego together today after it had been in pieces for about a week. i turn it on and it's in that weird diagnostic mode, only, i didn't tell it to. i turned it on like normal and this is what i got. i thought, hmm, weird. whatever, i'll just go through it so i can shoot my gun. right? wrong. it got stuck at the light on part of the check.

heres a video of what's happening. the later half is me pulling the trigger and pressing all three of the buttons (not at once) trying to get it off this mode. the only way i've been able to end it is by just pulling out the battery.

is the button inside the grip stuck or did you break it?
thats what you press to get into that while turning it on.

that was my first thought but when i look at it there is nothing blocking it and it doesnt look broken

Pull out the battery, make sure the button isn't stuck down and turn it on again.

It goes into that mode if the red button on the board is held down when its turned on.

the button isnt stuck down. one of the times i tried to get it off this mode, i pressed that button and it went down and back up

Take the board out of the grip frame, and hook up a 9v battery to it.. See what that dose. Than just carefully install it back in to place.

If you hook up a battery to the board outside the grip frame, you will for sure tell if there is anything hitting the buttons or not.

I've seen this a few times where the board will not go to "Light Off". I believe the handful of people had to get their boards reflashed. Email Gerry.B@Planeteclipse.com

if pressing the red buttons a few times will not solve the diagmode problem you should contact your nearest eclipse service center.

yeah was hoping it wouldn't come to that. i'm going to darin's today.

The exact thing you describe here happened to my 06 board. I tried all the things above to solve the problem as well and nothing worked.

Eventually I sent it to Bill in RI and got a replacement board.

my friend had to send his etek board to Bill to get a replacement too. It happens =/
