I can confirm that neither Trauma or Gridlock will be around this coming season.
This is not to say that the player pool from Gridlock won't have anywhere to go...there is something in the works right now. It would be a shame to separate all that talent.
As far as Trauma, I'm not really sure of all the reasons.

I have heard conflicting rumors regarding the Gridlock program.
But regardless, rumors do not count as news, so this thread should probably be deleted.

yes. They lost their NXL spot, 99% sure. I'll have to double check. But they'll be playing NPPL as Image, correct?
All I know is that I wish good luck to all the Gridlock players finding new teams, or creating teams of their own.
Don: Has PBC terminated sponsorship with them? And Proto or is that going through PBC as a Proto Dealer.

Why did Trauma "lose" their NXL spot? Doesn't seem right......especially since Rock Hill (Trauma's home field) is hosting the MAO next season (and has hosted the last two years).

Yeah it dosent make sense that they would have "lost" it. They probably dropped out.

Maybe they lost it due to failure to pay league fees, or dues, it seems that MONEY is a common theme in this whole situation.

what I posted in the other forum
Here's the deal...being that I have worked at PBC since the begining of time and was one of the people who started Trauma I'll give you some facts.
We did NOT quit because of a bad season. Every team goes through one sometime or another, maybe not as bad as we did but they do. It was only myself, Duder, and Tyler left from the OG team. The rest were "new" guys that were on the team for a very short time . None of the three of us would ever want to take over the team. Rob has PBC to take care of and we have been expanding all over the Carolina's. No time for taking care of a franchise and a professional team. Paul still owns part of our team but the past 2 years he has put zero money into it and had nothing to do with the team.
In NO way was PBC putting money into Trauma. We did use there field to practice, but they never sponsored us. Five of us work for PBC but thats it. I cant see us merging.
I'm sure the Gridock kids will find teams to play for...but to get the record straight after seeing all the stuff on pbdojo. In no way did does Rob make money off Gridlock. If anything they may owe him. When Gridlock won all those events in 06 they may not have seen any money but that was only because thats how they needed to pay for the entry fees, paint, practice, travel. They did have team dues but still is not enough when you play every weekend. Wonder why you did not see some of the same faces the next year? Its because they couldnt afford it, and dissappeared. Leaving the team with more money to owe. Countless times we fronted Glock paint so they could keep playing. So please stop all the rumors... In all honesty we never saw the 40k check that we won after 2005 WC. Why? We had to pay everything that we owed....sucked but we had too.
The industry has been in a slump for the past few years, but Ive heard this for 5-6 years that paintball is going to die. What I am still doing? I've been traveling all over Europe, have a trip planned for S. Africa and at the last WC there were more teams than ever...
Who knows the future for paintball and the rest of us. I know that the rest of Gridlock will have no problem finding other teams or starting a new team. And for the rest of Trauma a few will retire, but a few of us will be trying to get picked up on teams. I know I'm still playing!
