haha Good job on spending your funding in the worst way possible !

Next time, spend your funding on event entries and paint.

Stuff like masks and pants should be paid for by the individual players. That stuff gets lost, torn, and in the best case scenario will need to be replaced in a season or two at best.

Heh, Maryland stays away from buying anything reusable like that for the team. Once we buy...say a Jersey. The school owns it. And we have to keep it in one of their storage facilities and take it out everytime we want to use it. Also, if it gets ripped and destroyed the team has to replace it because it's a piece of equipment owned by the school.

So on anything personal. Entry and paint are the bulk of the cost and it's easier to ask for money when the school could never really give you enough to pay for all of it.

agreed. Also, like what 72slacker said, you dont want the school paying for equipment because it is their's so you gotta keep dibs on it, which is a pain. Paint on the otherhand, the school never sees.

The only equipment we buy with funding is expendable equipment - pods, swabs, etc. Anything else is classified as "capital equipment" - **** that lasts longer than a year - and the school requires me to inventory it every year, since they own it. I would never buy anything with the school's money that someone can say is "their [blank]".

alot of it has to do with local as well paint and tourney costs for vary from region to region. like in the northern midwest our paint and field time cost more than anywhere we talk to people in texas about. the purposed tourney fees and pricing for the west was also significantly lower than what we pay in the midwest just due to market pricing.

How many events does the MICT play per year? Does anyone have a schedule that they could PM me. I couldn't find the new schedule on the website.

The other thing is that unless you have a NEED for jerseys, they are a luxury expense. You can play an event in matching t-shirts, but you can't play an event if you can't afford the entry fee.

Save jerseys for when you have enough money to cover your 4 events + nationals already and/or are playing Class A.

Pretty much, this is my fourth year in the league and at a certain point you have to say, "I may disagree with Chris but he has done a lot for this league." Also it could be worse, anybody remember koosh balls?
