i picked up a few guns for dirt cheap brand new... 2 tetras and a protium... where can i get a better battery for the gun? and can a standard 9v work?

standard 9 volts work. that's what i used, and practically all markers take 9 or 9.6 volt batteries. dont use the stock ones, because they literally cant last through the night

I use a National Paintball 9.6V rechargeable. Lasts a LONG time in my Excellerator.

protium eats battery... the rechargeable battery they give u blows... just buy ur own

stock battery sucks bad
just use a regular 9 volt they last 4 times as long

yeah i charged it and drove to my friends house and it had less than half the battery left... i love the guns but i hate that battery life... thanks for the advice... ill buy a new battery when i can afford to.
