SRT grip? is it an expansion chamber? regulator?

Hey guys i am new to all of the paintball stuff. I am looking to get a Piranha SRT eforce. i noticed that the front grip looks like an expansion chamber. is it? or is it a regulator? i really have no idea how to tell or what a reg. is i only know about expansion chambers from reading on here. also how do the guages work on the evo guns? and what do they do?

The front grip on the SRT is just that...a front grip.
A hollow tube for air flow.
It can be removed and upgraded to an expansion chamber, or an in line regulator, is you choose later.

The gauge on the EVO works on the regulated air pressure from the regulator, and reads the guns operating pressure.
