if you smelled burning you shorted something probably and from the sounds of it. its prolly one of the switch relay caps so its not reading the on/off switch verry well (i dont own a mini just lookin through cuz im thinking about buying one) i do however work on computers and a burning smell from any board is always a bad sign the "magic" smoke is even worse that means you really zaped the lil goblins in the caps and killed there magic makeing ***'s
I don't know if kee is gonna help you there buddy... they cover all sorts of things but user error isn't covered under our waranties. if you fried your board and you have to pay for another one you'd be better off putting a vitrue or a tadao board in there. and in the future if your manual says not to do something DON'T, and use a bit of common sense if nothing is mentioned in the manual about it.... like don't go ramming s**t in the marker or electronics just cause. If I were you i'd take mini down to my local stores tech and see if they have any ideas. Also once you get it fixed weather you send it to kee or your local shop, stop f**k**g with it! just lube the bolt after playing and thats it.
also to prevent any prob with your boards same thing goes for any electronic device use only fresh batteries, don't buy cheap batteries spend the extra couple bucks for energisers or duracells and make sure there in good condision. keep it dry, moist air and rain will kill electronics. and never touch a circut board unless you know what your doing cause staic can fry these things so can a bunch of other things.
