I used 3-4 different dremel bits and took my time...the inside of my frame doesnt look very pleasant but its functional. If anyone attempts this mod, I hope they have prior dremel experience or you may screw something up.

ill take pics of inside the frame when I get the chance.

Kind of funny how the pics make the QEV look so huge. I wonder how the '06 or the Clippard ones would fit in.

Alright heres my write-up: (Credit to Phrank26 for being the first to do this *I think*...which inspired me to do this)

************************************************** ********
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU MESS UP YOUR OWN GUN. DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! PLANET ECLIPSE WILL NOT COVER ANY OF THE DAMAGES YOU CAUSED TO THE GUN!!!

If you are worried about doing this, then I suggest you just keep your gun the way it is or BUY AN SL/08 EGO. Or I am not sure if Phrank26 is still doing this service but you can hit him up if you are not confident.

Highly highly not recommended for those without prior dremel experience
************************************************** *******

Needed:
- Autococker hosing (Not necessary but just in case you have a leak when taking the hosing off the barbs)
- 07 QEV (I bought mine from CC-Paintball)
- 31 piece Dremel kit from Wal-mart ~ $12
- Extra Large cut off discs from Wal-mart ~ $5
- Dremel (Mine went up 10k RPM and I had it at full speed a lot of the times) ~ $30-50
- Safety goggles
- All other misc tools/allens to take apart your gun

---------------------------------------

1.) Take apart you gun (Barrel, frame, inline reg, trigger, board). So you have access to the QEV/Solenoid and nothing should be left on the trigger frame since you are going to use a dremel

2.) Using a flathead unscrew the silver low pressure elbow. (Its where the new qev will go). Take the hose off the low pressure elbow.

3.) Place the new qev into the hole from where the low pressue elbow came from (dont need to screw it in just yet). But this will help you gauge how long the hose needs to be (Because since the QEV is larger than the low pressure elbow, the hose is shorter)

4.) Cut the hose to the appropriate length and put it onto the new QEV. Now you can screw on the new QEV into the hole.

5.)That was the easy part. Time to take the dremel. If you look at the frame from the top, the back of the frame has a rectangle looking area that is deeper than the rest of the frame. This is where your first (Factory installed) QEV is. You need to mimic that depth to fit the new QEV.

6.) I slid the body and the frame back together and used a washable marker to mark the beginning and the end of the new QEV. (This way you know where to cut).

7.) Using a combination of dremel discs (which I have listed below in the pic) I dremeled and then refit, dremeled and refit. I only wanted to cut what was needed as I did not want to dremel too far and have a hole in the bottom.

8.) Hints* You will have to use the extra large cut off discs to cut against the wall. No other bit will get close enough to the wall of the frame. Your QEV sits right next to the wall of your frame. You can see I dremeled only the right side as this is where the QEV sits.

Pretty much you will have to try to mimic the rear portion of the frame.

I also took a small dremel bit and dremeled inside the frame where the solenoid wires tuck. I almost pinched my solenoid wires until I noticed it was rubbing against the frame.

The frame on the inside looks pretty terrible imo but its functional. You can see how tight fit it is to dremel....

Look closely at the picture above...you can see where I dremeled inside the frame so that the solenoid wires dont pinch.

I used dremel bit 3, 6, 7, 8 on the bottom row if you are counting left to right and the extra large cut-off discs

Shows you how tight fit a dremel bit is....

Also props to Planet Eclipse, this is some damn good metal....it took forever to dremel that frame....even at 10k rpm. The frame is pretty damn rock solid...i dont see how people can bend their frame or break it unless they don't know how to superman dive right.
