do I need pads?

I was wondering if I needed pads under my jersey and pants? I see some pants and jerseys come with built in pads but is that just as good? whats your idea?

In my opinion just buy some knee pads and that's all you really need. I have no idea how the pants and others are, all i use are knee pads and I'm fine.

If you're asking chances are you won't need them.

If you're coming home with sore joints and scrapped up arms and knees I should hope that that's an obvious answer enough and you do in fact want to get some padding of sorts (if only just the pads in your pb pants). The pads in most pants are not as well as regular pads, but they're designed (in many cases) to work with one another.

at least volleyball kneepads underneath. They're cheap and soft. Knees are terrible things to injure.

I've never used either for 3 years of balling and I've been fine. But I am getting some now how ever just because it only takes one time to **** something up. Also, not only do pads help with ground contact and sliding, they take away the pain of a hit on your arm. If it hits the pad you wont even feel it.
