► ► ► Ultimate PhotoShop Tutorial Thread
The Ultimate PhotoShop Thread
For phototographers of all levels, knowing how to use photo editing software is essential. And THE photo editing software is Adobe's Photoshop.
The following tutorials were compiled by two of ST Photo's best photographers. They'll take you from newb to PhotoShop pro in no time.
Photoshop for Photographers by Sacintimidator06
Sac's Photoshop for Photographers thread covers all the basics on how to post process a color photo. It's a must read for new photographers.
How to: Black and White Conversions
Jungle Larry expands on Sac's thread and takes you to a world where Black and White photos are dramaticaly black and white instead of bland and grey.
Additional tutorials may be added to this thread later.

I think he means to change the transparency of a photo that he is overlaying on top of another. Like you would do for a watermark or something similar. To do that you go over to where the layers are and slide the opacity (transparency, something, I don't remember what it's called) slider thingy to a lower percentage.

is this the new thread?ok this is my first time photoshopping something and i know i will probably be cursed and my sexuality questioned but i was wondering if someone could take the pic i started with, and shop it so i know what could have done to it and what to aim for.

started w/ that and ended up w/ this after the tutorials

i really dont think i did anything but brighten it but i fallowed the color correction tutorial and this is what i got.honestly i think the first one looks better but im new to this and you probably aren't.

What if I decided to do a "How to develop/print images in a darkroom" tutorial? Would that get me laid?

Oh no doubt. It's why I'm about to go into the automotive forum and write a step by step guide on "how to change your steed's shoes without having to pay an expensive visit to the local farrier"
