hey whats wrong with your cocker? it said its a pos. also the rainmaker is entirely different, sure some call it a electro cocker. but it is soooo much easier to maintain, and so much simpler

if i'm not mistaken, the rm is open bolt. which would make it pretty different. but it uses the same barrels

the rainmaker is like twice as heavy as the cocker is and i dont even think the f5 cocker (electric cocker) is that heavy. if i can remember correctly the rainmaker is about 4 lbs

the rainmaker is about the same wieght as a cocker but is much faster.most can do about 14 bps. a rainmaker is not really like a cocker other than the pneumatic system is simular. i guess in a way it is a electro cocker but i wouldnt suggest calling it one in the cocker room

lets put it this way, i have a micromag with some upgrades and i have a rainmaker and i have a 68 mag and i have a cocker. the rainmaker is the lightest out of all these without the shroud. oh and its extremely fast, faster than a bushmaster or impulse. its a very nice gun i have really enjoyed it.

that's a lie and we both know it, i've shot everything from a rainmaker to a bushmaster to an intimidator to an angel, and the gun itself (disregarding any limits set by the user) is not what makes it fast, it's the person pulling the trigger. just wanted to clear that up and defend my bushy's good name

I use my cocker up in the Colorado Mtns in the middle of winter and dont have problems. Did you used vaseline as lube in the winter?

i believe the rainmaker is set to a limit of 14bps, as the impulse has a max of 17bps. Anyway, how would you shot fast with a plastic trigger?

your partialy right . the new boards are set at 14 but the oldboards have no set imit other than the speed the gun fires at. the impuse is set at 13 bsp. and can only keep up with that.there are a few exeptions thought.like the visions. but we could go to the rainmaker with vision and gale force and probly still win.

all new rainmakers have metal double triggers. the Rainmaker is Quasi closed bolt. The bolt is not connect to the hammer like an impulse, bushmaster, tribal, ect. The bolt is in the closed position when the hammer is released making it quasi closed bolt.

hey guys, just a note from an earlier post here.... Bud Orr didn't make the plans that later became the rainmaker, it was Air Power back in 1993 when they created the Vector. Check out:
Air Power Owners Group
For more info on the original designs and where the Rainmaker came from.

yeah, a rainmaker is basically an electronic vector. my friend owns a vector, it sounds very similar to the rainmaker
THE DAMN DOUBLE TRIGGER IS METAL, NOT PLASTIC

The only thing common between RMs and Cockers are the barrel threads, and an optional cocker LPR (which'll fit on anything). No, they are not electro cockers. They're in fact, almost nothing like them. Cockers are based off of the Sheridan pump, and the RM is based off of the Nelson Pump (autotrigger). It's basically a stacked autotrigger pump, with the lower chamber turned backwards, and the bolt carrier actuated by a ram (air cylinder) rather than a pump handle. There are no external moving parts.
