You heard me right ladies and girlymen!!!!......the first in a series of winter tournament games will be taking place Saturday, Oct 20th, 2007 at our sponsor H&H Paintball Online indoor paintball facility 519-750-0805 http://store.hhpaintballonline.com/index.php?cPath=25
starting at 10am in Brantford Ontario Canada.
Aptly referred to henceforth as "Mercenary Smackdown 2007" we are throwing it down at ALL comers.....all anyone need do is put together a 5 man squad and step out....that is of course if you truly believe you and your crew have what it takes that is. YOU WANT A SHOT AT THE TITLE THEN BRING IT!!!!!...... frankly none of the Mercenaries think that anyone will actually show up as the first tournament referred to as "The Storm" (cause thats what is going to happen to anyone foolish enough to step up) will most certainly punish any and all comers with a painful barrage of paint....and we most certainly aren't going to give up the title belt!!!
We are so confident in fact that The Mercenaries will emerge victorious over the day that we are even going to sweeten the pot....
To the 5 man crew who wins the day..... $1000
2nd place finsher $500
and for 3rd $300
But don't get your hopes up as we aren't planning on giving away one single cent!
Games will be 10 minutes long with teams switching sides for a total of 20 minutes per team in a point based scenario.
Prices - $125 per team entry fee
Paint - $60 per case of either Spectrum or V-1
Food and drinks are available throughout the day
If anyone actually does manage to assemble a 5 man squad to face "The Storm" it is advisable to call ahead and pre register your group and secure a spot....although at the end of the day as mentioned above we find it pretty doubtful there would be that many fools
As an added bonus a few side competitions will occur through the day so please bring along your pistols and whatever else is required to summon some courage....
This is Da Mercs house......and we plan on kickin everybody right out the front door!!!.....you heard it here first!!!
Rules are simple....each game is straight elimination with 5 points awarded for eliminating each Mercenary, total of 25. Each team gets a shot at the title in one 10 min round and then we switch sides and do another 10 minute round, for a grand total of 20 minute sessions, space may be limited so each team must select one 5 man squad with 2 substitute players only (subs can be instituted should a marker go down or player injured only, the ref will agree to each substitution on a case by case basis)
Should it go further (and I doubt this very much) we will take the teams to a semi final, whereby we run the whole thing once more.........and finally......should any team weather the Storm however doubtful that may seem.......we go to sudden death.
Gun restrictions.........hmmmm, 17 bps max and all guns must be chronied in at no more than 240 fps........all standard paintball rules apply.....all paint and grenades etc MUST be purchased from H&H the day of. Infractions are sufficient for disqualification from the tourney....furthermore, like the SPPL, behaviour and sportsmanship is important....anyone/team acting poorly will be penalized up to and including disqualification.
The Glen Morris Mercenaries will not be responsible for anyone requiring medical or psychological treatment having been foolish enough to face us on the 13th......thankyou.
I reiterate the necessity of all teams pre registering.....this tourney really is being promoted all over the place and space is limited to 20 five man squad openings only
Firing modes are as follows semi/burst/ramping.....ramping means a transition from semi to full auto only as long as the trigger is worked any grips that allow the transition then hold the trigger for auto fire wont be allowed.
