Share your RaceGun settings
These are my RaceGun settings on a Millenium Freeflow w/ 12v Revolution and Turbo Revolution/Wicked Air, I tested this setting on full auto with no problems what so ever. I had LT set at 57 in the past but would encounter ball pinch so I decided on LT at 60 for RELIABILITY.
Rate of Fire = 9.1
ST = 10
DT = 10
CTO = 20
LT = 60
CTC = 20
I plan on changing:
CTC to 25
CTO to 30
LT to 40
Raising CTC is suppose to get rid of the "mystery noise". What I don't understand is, the "mystery noise" is made before the back block returns so why does the adjustment to CTC resolve the noise? Or am I completely lost?
I just hope these changes don't affect feeding even though ROF will once again be 9.1 as the above settings are but the LT, Load Time, won't be open as long.

Here are Race's new recommended settings. They are on their forum and they said they found this out by testing the ACE.
Shot: 10
Dwell: 10
Open: 30
Load: 35
Close: 25
Do you really need an LT of 60?? WOW! That is what is killing your bps. But if it works. I will have my results/settings up by this weekend. They also said Open (CTO) should be higher then Close (CTC) due to the hammer reacting against the spring.

New Settings
So far these settings are working well for me. I'll give these settings a true test next weekend. I'm gonna adjust the dwell between 5-7ms.
ROF = 9.1
Shot = 10
Dwell = 5
Open = 35
Load = 40
Close = 25

nah
You can set it at whatever you want. I'm choosing not to go over 10 with my Freeflow RaceGun, right now I have it set at 9.7, lowered my Load time.

Is it not rcommended to get the ROF above 9.1? I am hoping for like 10-15.

I installed everthing myself on a 2001 evy X and these are the settings I've had the most success with;
10
10
19
47
19
BPS = 10.5 this is the highest bps I've been able to attain, without chopping paint.
I put a aluminum pump arm on from KAPP and a Delrin bolt from AKA, which lowered the reciprocating mass by 2 onces. Heres a pic

Lets Rock
Your Open should be longer then your Close, not equal as they are at 19.

JUst so you know, I spent a week and a half with a scuba at my house doing almost every combination there is for 11.5 and as I said 10.5 is the highest I've had success with NOT chopping paint.
Now, I don't mind some advice, but please, your shooting 9.1 and I should lower my CTC? To what end? If I want to shoot faster I'll install the feed eye later.
(sorry about the previous double post)

Hmmm....all I'm doing is trying to help anyone and everyone out, your making an assumption you shouldn't. Klutz from RaceGun has stated:
"CTO and CTC: actually we have found (during eye tests) that the real times should be
CTO: 35
LT: 35
CTC: 25-30
but as the grip without eye treats CTC+LT as one long delay we didn't notice the flaw - the result was good. CTO will always be higher than CTC because you are working against the hammer spring and pushing more weight.
Cpt. Klutz"

Rambo Who?
Thanks for the help, suggesting something that they have on the RaceGun forum is easy to do, but lets see a working string. As I said I tried all sorts of combinations to try and get 11.5 to work properly and even called Pro Paintball. Their advice was to only adjust the LT and CTC, after many frustrating attempts I decided to go at it from a different direction. I put in the stock settings (as they work fine) and slowly manipulated them from there, hence the settings I have now. I haven't been able to play with it as of yet, but I did fire 2 revys (X brd) of paint throught it without a hitch. So, no harm, no foul.
Thanks for the help.

I honestly could not tell if they put air to it. I do know my stab was in the box not hooked up. Turn around time was awesome. However I wanna see this working. I tod them max bps so we will see!
Sam the capt. said you were ripping at 13-14 bps with a HALO. Share your settings!

I was told by the techs at Pro that they sent their guns out with the stock settings. Depending on which firmware is installed on your board it will have 9.4 or 10 bps as stock or default. I know this because I have 2 frames and one came 9.4 and the other at 10.

Thanx for the info guys! Is it hard to turn the ROF up? Also I have another question.. I messed up and ordered a LP Max-Flo (max psi= 250psi) is 250 psi enough for a freeflow?
Thanx,
Alex

Turning up the ROF is as easy as plugging your frame in to your computer (via supplied cable) and using the RIP program. It is getting the highest ROF that functions reliably, that is the hard part.
As for the Freeflow and 250 psi??? Sorry.

So share your results from the weekend guys and gals. How did it go?
Sam, Rock's settings may be different. Remember his bolt is a lot shorter.

Grips usually come @ 10 bps factory default. Your FreeFlow should be able to pull 11 or so reliably with a 12V revvy. We have just recieved our first box of HALOs, so testing is just starting over here. A Half Block Cocker with ACE & HALO is being tested later today + 2-3 other guns with and without ACE. I'll try and post the results here, videoclips will be on our site ASAP.
Your FreeFlow is made for 290-300psi optimum so 250 is stretching it somewhat. Haven't tried it though so....

How to set Open and Close times properly
OK, an update from Mats, our swedish Cocker guru:
To find the right Open and Close times for your Racegrip and Cocker, go through these steps:
1/ Set to Semi mode
2/ Set (or leave) your LPR to the right cocking pressure.
3/ Set Load to 1mS
4/ Increase Open step by step from 10mS until the lug stops riding along and actually catches the sear (single shot, pause, single shot etc).
You now have the minimum Open time set.
5/ Add a few mS to be on the safe side.
6/ Set Close to 2-3 mS lower than Open. You can experiment with lower Close times later on, too low will cause blow back.
7/ Set Load to 35mS and work down until you start chopping (or feel happy with your BPS!).
You probably end up with something like 8,8,30,35,27 or so with a 12v revvy.

faster faster faster!!!
When I get my new Freeflow with RaceGun this week I'll post my settings. I encountered a problem with my current FF's bolt, in the foward postion with the LPR pressure at 0 I would get blow back. So from 10-13bps I would get skips every 5-6 shots soooooooo I figured something was wrong with my my settings. I believe the best I could get my Load Time was 27-29ms with the Halo.

Tried these settings yesterday: 6, 6, 30, 30, 25. Didn't have blowback. Good. I decided to test it with month old seconds paint since the dwell was high. I figured if this crap won't break, I should be safe. Went through a couple hoppers and shot at some birds(lol) and didn't have any problems. My rof is right at 11 bps.

Thanks for the indepth insructions for setting BPS :-), are you guys putting this in the online manual?
You explain open, load and closed very well, but I was wondering what criteria you used in order to adjust shot and dwell to 8 or lower? Obviously a guy could go trial and error and come up with something that works, but it would be nice to know exactly what you are striving for and for what reasons. I have been told that a slight vacuum may be created with a lower dwell.
Also, will the Raceframe need to be left on semi or can you use all of these settings with classic as well?
