Feedneck for pre-99 autococker/Twister - ideas, Ego feedbneck?

So I picked up a nice Twister autococker and just love the ano scheme. I do not want to re-ano the body, because the clamshell milling gets lost with the final polishing, and it is pretty fine as it is. The big problem is that the feedneck had an aftermarket collar to fit loaders (although my 9V Revy works perfect), and has some significant scratches at 4 points around. I want to do something that is first cosmetically appealing, and then, secondly, functional (like a clamping feedneck). My primary concern is to NOT RISK DAMAGE to the body (and keep the little rail).

I was deciding between having a threaded WGP/STO feedneck put on VS an Ego feedneck (not threaded). The Ego6 feednecks more readily available, pre-anodized Ego feedneck are easily available, and it would probably be a simpler job. The ego feedneck is clamped onto the gun, so the feedneck on the gun is not threaded.

Q1. anyone have any recommendations for a simple cosmetic fix to the feedneck? The feedneck is functional and I can modify a loader to fit it. I am not a fan of a plain polished finish, unfortunately.
Q2. Should I just press feed a clamping feedneck ( I have brought this idea up with one shop I plon plan on using)? Anyone have a horror problem with this?
Q3. Is the idea of milling off the top of the feedneck for an Ego sound blasphemous? Anybody know how much feedneck stem an Ego6 feedneck requires?

Thanks in advance. I certainly appreciate any advice, as this is the second to last cocker I need for my collection.

Bam! But you would have to have the body milled, feedneck removed and modified.

I was hoping to just remove the large outer portion of the feedneck and leave the 'stem' for the Ego6 feedneck. This would allow me to keep the existing short section of the rail on the body, avoid a pressed feedneck.

A little bit of height on the feedneck is not a bad thing with semi's (yeah, I know it has eyes drilled...)

That feed neck can be threaded for autococker clamping feed necks. I have done it before. It could probably also be milled down for an ego clamp on neck. I'm not sure what the OD of the ego feed tubes need to be for the clamping feeds to work properly. That dimension is easily obtained though.

This is a pretty quick and easy modification to the existing press fit feed, and shouldn't cost more than $45 for the threaded option.

That's what I would do when considering cosmetics.

My thought would be to mill down the existing feedneck to just an Ego6 feedneck stem. That is, if someone could let me know the required length of the 'stem' (part on the body). Then I can compare that to the length of feedneck that exists on the Twister.

Thanks man. I assume that is the Ego 6 measurements. For some reason, the Ego7 is different, but I do not knwo exactly how.

I figured as much. Thanks again. Also, could you give me the diameter or circumference of the feedneck stem? I would appreciate it.

It looks like there is about 7/16" to 1/2" of the smaller stem that extends into the larger collar, with and additional 1/16" of clearance to the rail. Barring a problem with the diameter, a good shop should be able to trim off the top of the outer collar (above the 'stem'), and then shave the overlapped portion of the larger collar.

BTW, the other option is to stick a sticker, similar in color, around the existing feedneck to hide the blemishes. At least until all the other parts are done (getting matching Belsales and CCM pneus to match the silve ano).
