boring .740 diameter hole?

how would i go about boring .740 diameter hole?i cant find any type of drill bits of this size. any suggestions? (yes noob)

buy a .740 reamer, drill with 47/64(.7344) drill then ream to size. should be perfect dia and it will have a great finish too

FDW.... "For Da Win"

.740 reamers are not that common so you may need to use an adjustable reamer and guage it and then try a drill and ream on a smaller test piece to get the size set.

thanks for the info.just so you know,i was asking because thats what the rufus dawg model 98 center feed instructions called. i was just curious how it was done. 99.99% i wont do it. i am just really interested in tinkering/machining/milling, etc. any metalworking/machining forum suggestions?

thats a really good website, you can get reamers in any size you want. as long as you know where to look

. never liked ajustable reamers but to each his/her own
