OtterSC Customs has something on spray painting your marker here.

It states that you should use a few coats of Krylon, Rustoleum, or any other outdoor based paint on top of a few layers of a good primer. Read the whole article and follow the steps to get the best out of the painting. Unfortunately, I haven't done this process before, but it seems that the paint would hold up very well.

Hope I was some help.

Usually you can't play with it 15 minutes after you paint it....

Dry it the right way and you'll have no problem.

Actually if you spray paint it then let it dry for a week. Sure it's dry to the touch the next morning or even a few hours later but the paint will still have a lot of solvent in it and that takes time to dry away completely and let the paint harden fully. You can certainly work on reassembly the next day but don't use it in any games for a week.

do yourself a favor take it to a body shop where they paint cars pick a color and for a few bucks im sure they throw it in with a car that color and spray it and bake it for you, spray paint will not hold up.

Well, if you followed the steps in the link I posted, you are supposed to bake it in an oven...but I think a heat gun would work also?
