I will too when I get some liquid oxygen....I wonder if I could put it in a co2 tank....put that upside down in the rocket with and remote controll on/off asa and paraffin wax with a hole through the middle . I should go blow myself up now...

You're talking about a hybrid rocket. Those can be pretty bad ***. You can get liquid oxygen from most commercial gas suppliers, but it would be even easier to get compressed oxygen like from oxy acetylene torches.

So I just diagnosed one of my problems. Turns out not having a full fuel grain with a solid core does not provide thrust because it does not allow the exhaust gases to rush out as easily.

SUCESS. I finally got a lot of thrust. The key was cooking the fuel and making a core. This means that the construction of my rocket launcher will be able to start soon. All I need to do now is design a process to make fuel grains easy and fast to make.

yeah with that stuff you could make smoke bombs too, 8 parts salt peter, 3 parts sugar and like a tea spoon of dry coloring then cook it till all homogeneous, pour it, let it dry, stick a fuse in and....BAM!! smoke

So I have figured out most of the bugs in my fuel design and I will have a full tutorial up soon. I will have to work on stablization now in order to use a shorter tube to fire out. Right now I am firing out of a 12' pvc pipe and using 1" wide pvc with caps like in earlier pictures. The best part is that these rockets are cheap to make and in large fuel batches may be able to be made with only about 10 minutes of work per rocket.

Hmmm...word of advice guys...don't read Anarchist Cookbook. Very dangerous stuff, and I think for one of the things they suggest putting some explosives in a burlap bag and then shaking it to mix it up...

Read Poor Man's James Bond 1&2 instead.
