Post all appraisals questions here.
Questions like:
Is this a good deal?
Should I trade?
Should I sell and for how much?
How much is my Ion worth?

Wooo Hooo... A fresh appraisal thread. Lets get this party started right. This Ion I custom built out of spares and a few new parts, and it not quite finished. Future upgrades are all for looks, and include an all blue SP Freak Barrel w/ All-American Front, Sp 07 Protouch Grips (blue), Gloss black frame & body (undesided which ones) and new regulator (probably CP)
What do you think its worth, honestly. I'm expecting a lower figure. Most markers here seem to get a sub $300 appraisal if they don't have a body and frame.
Smart Parts Ion - New Designz Breech, Detents, Firing Can & Donut - Deadlywind Hollowpoint Bolt - SP 360 QEV - Virtue Board & Eyes - SP Q-Lock - New Designz Ultralite On/Off ASA - Violent Products Scythe Trigger - Hogue Grips - 14" SP Freak Barrel w/all inserts

Sinkhole: $275-300 sold as-is, including the Freak kit, if you can find someone who knows enough to appreciate the internal upgrades you've got. As I mentioned in the previous thread to another user, you'd be much better off parting out the nicer internals, replacing them with stock, and selling the marker then.
Loc31007: Very nice marker. It's much harder to value the highly upgraded setups like yours... $500-550, maybe... and again, more if you part it out.
For anyone else wanting a quick estimate on their marker; a guide I've heard many times is: Add up the retail price, then subtract 40%.
I'll embellish this a little bit:
-- If you've got the stock body/frame, start at $150, and add roughly 60-75% the cost of your upgrades.
-- If you've got an aftermarket body that's aluminum and non-BOB, start at $175.
-- Start markers with semi-BOBs or Lucky bodies at the cost of the body, and don't include the cost of the stock frame.
-- Setups with the above bodies and aftermarket frames... just ignore any starting price, add it all up, and subtract 40%. Fully custom anodizing? Subtract only 20%.
Of course, these are all very rough estimates. If anyone would like to add to this or correct something, feel free.

Bought the gun with stock barrel, maunal, 48/3000 pure energy tank and some tank cover for $250. I thought it wasn't such a bad deal at all.

Shhh... Just embrace it.
|
you have the parts for 300... clack.
But god damn is that thing hideous. But that's my opinion. I don't like the color combinations, and the raw metal just looks... well, too raw.
Get it anno'd and get new grips, if you really care about looks, and not performance, but you basically have the performance there.

shane, 200-225. It's still got that stock look, which people look at and they say, "whoa, too much ion, not enough aftermarket." To be honest, grips change the way the ion looks drastically. Get new grips, the stock ones are ugly as sin.

gonna quote mahamoti on this one,
"if you can find someone who knows ion internals, you can get around 300." I know it's not a direct quote, but I feel the same. The whole lucky stages 1-4 helps a lot, it's pretty much a stage 5.
250-300. 300 if really really lucky, but the higher end of 200. Get a new feedneck though, and get a better colorscheme going, and it will for sure raise, if just by a little, but i'm an amature appraiser.
