Any settings that will make my legend quieter?

I know legends are pretty quiet (atleast mine is) but are there any settings that will make it even quieter?

i'm not too picky if my efficiency goes down or whatnot

thanks

(new to the legend forum just got mine last weekend)

well some barrels are quieter as for settings wise a higher dwell will wield a lower sound signature...most people keep their legend at 10ms

its an open blowback like an ego ... so its gonna sound a lot like an ego ... which is loud lol ... mines a touch quieter than an ego and iv got my dwell set at 9

uls are fairly quiet ... usually the more porting the quieter it gets

hope that helps

if you have the manual, just navigate to the setting you want to view, and the light will flash the setting it is on, like if it has a dwell of 10, the light will flash 10 times. BUt im pretty sure you will have to re set it to the value it flashes.

ok so mine has a dwell of 10.

so dwell settings can possibly change the noise?

why do some people on the settings thread have their dwell from 7 to 10
and some people have their debounce varying from 1 to 10

The lower the dwell the higher the efficiency. The higher the debounce the less bounce you'll see in triggers set up a certain way.

im sporting a SLY barrel kit, the new internals, and a Dwell at 8.

i hate Egos, cause of how loud they are out of the box (ive owned 2) and i can tolerate my legend very easily.

**Dwell also depends on where you live. my buddy who owns an ego had to up his dwell i think 2 when we went to Nebraska (Grand Island, near Warped Sports HQ in Kearny) and we live in South Dakota.**

Lowering your Dwell makes it Quieter. my buddy had to Raise it in order to get it to shoot 300 FPS. idk what it is, the feet above sea level (if thats altitude..?)

someone correct me if im wrong.

dwell = amount of time your solenoid clicks "open"

so the lower you make your dwell the higher the input pressure your reg must be to compensate for the loss of time the valve ends up open .. which is tough on paint but more efficient and its "quieter" because its quicker and not drawn out into a psshh noise

i guess you could turn your dwell up so high that its quieter because the pressure could be so low .. but i havent tried this and i wouldnt reccomend it because your ROF would drop really low haha

the legend would kind of suck without the QEV it comes with
