Great movie. If you dug Kids, then check out Bully. Sadly Bully's based on a true story.

If you like Kids, Bully, or Wassup Rockers, check out Ken Park. Look it up on the torrents, as it's not available in the USA. Gummo and J. Donkey are also good.

kids was good, bully was a little bit less good.
bully was directed by the director of kids.
GUMMO was the best movie ever made directed by the guy who wrote the screen play for kids. If you appreciated the realistic, unscripted dialogue of kids and like seeing albinos and downsyndrome prostitues have sex with f.a.s glue sniffers YOU WILL LOVE GUMMO
GUMMO > Kids > bully > hortence the mule face boy ( or whatever that one is called )
plus gummo has chloe sevigny ( the girl who gets raped in kids ) in it.

I was told that the actors in kids were actually just straight up inner city kids from new york.

Ya I just researched it and they all are from inner city new york. Even telly, and he is a big name actor now. I really liked the movie because it was so real, raw as hell.
