so im dying my flex 8 bottoms ... it doesnt seem to have worked... i got the black rit dye in powder form heated up about 2 gallons of water then poored it into a bucket added the dye and stirred it from time to time... my stap came out pure black.. but my mask looks like ****.. it sat in there for an hour so far and the dye doesnt seem to be taking to the white grills.. di di not get the clear coat off good enough? because it worked just fine on the white on the inside of the mask... i used a tooth brush and scrubbed each vent for prolly 15 or so seconds like i was brushing its teeth.. is this not enough to get the clear coat off ?

the clear doesnt really matter its just for better results, you gotta make sure the water is boling HOT like bubbling and everything. and then leave it in there over night...

I did frame on my proto switches red, although I did it over a coat of white. I did not follow the procedure posted though. I find shaking and pressing the finger much easier than dipping if you know what im saying

ok i didnt like the cream color with the money signs all over.. so i decided to try to dye my mask.. this is how it went...

This is how i did it!
Start off boiling water... after the water was to a boil. i put it in a bucket, added dark green dye. After about 5 mins of the mask sitting in the dye, it started turning it blue. so i added a dark blue into the dye and this is how it come out.. much better i think...

hmm ok something close to it.. i didnt do any sanding or i didnt have to remove any clear glossy layer like they have on the flex mask. so im not sure how hard it would be to do this..

if you want to dye red grills blue it would come out to blue but it depends on how long you leave it in there for.

i picked up some blue dye while i was at the store and i think im gonna dye the yellow frame blue. what u think

umm i would dye it black, or keep it yellow.
