In your opinion...

Is the Etek a justifiable purchase for someone like me? I play two times a month. I have been playing for 6 years. I have always sort of settled for a lower end gun. Like i settled for an ion. I am gonna buy a proto rail. But now that i look at Etek's more seriously it looks like a really nice gun. For $675 is it a justifiable purchase for a two time a month rec baller who might play some local tourneys? I dont make a ton of money either. Thanks in advance guys.

Not intended to be a vs. thread.

I have an etek and I think its a really really nice gun. It can keep up with $1000 plus guns. It is definetly nicer than a proto rail and you probably can find a lnib etek on the b/s/t for around $500. I'd say go for it!

Im either going to buy the used one at my local shop or a new one. Thanks. Is it the kind of gun i could keep and play with for about 2 years without buying a new gun?

Sorry if i spelled justifiable wrong. I should look that up.

haha this is a gun you could keep and play with for several years as long as you maintain it (which is incredibly easy). Definetly a great gun to purchase.

You could always purchase a used gun. For the price of a new etek, you could get just about anything you wanted if its a year or two old.

If you need something new, its not a bad gun for the money. Doesn't take alot of maintenance and there are alot of parts available.
